Traveling is Not a Crime!

Border Patrol and ICE agents have established a regular presence on buses, trains and at the Regional Transportation Center and stations in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.

By racial profiling, or by asking all travelers for proof of citizenship, the civil rights of undocumented and documented immigrants as well as US citizens are being ignored while creating a climate of fear in Central New York and throughout the country.

Amtrak and Greyhound have taken to a policy of complicity in these actions, frequently calling in agents to the station or tipping them off ahead of time.

The Detention Task Force has embarked on a campaign to increase awareness, organize resistance and demand an end to these activities. Traveling is not a crime, and no human is illegal!
